p90x Legs and Back

I did it!

I really like getting up Sat morning and working out. I tried to take it easy on all the leg stuff just so I could get through all the exercises, but I still pushed really hard. I set my goal at the beginning of doing at least 10 of each, and I exceeded that in most cases. I am worked, for sure, but next time I think I'll up it quite a bit.

The back workout was easy, but the resistance bands are deceptive. It felt easy while I was doing it, however, I'm really feeling the muscle exhaustion now.

I was worried about how the resistance bands were going to workout for the chin-ups because I didn't know how I was going to attach the band up high enough. What I did was to slip knot the band to a carabiner (sp?) clip and then shut it in the door. The clip worked to ensure that the band wouldn't come through the door and snap me in the face, and the slipknot held the band in place so that both ends would be even. It worked out just fine, although I think I need to get a higher resistance band so I don't have to get so far away from the door.

I can't express enough how much I love this program. I love working out at home. I feel amazing. Every time I get through a workout I have such a sense of accomplishment.

I think what I've decided is that I'll take Friday nights off, and that I'm going to start doing the ab ripper workout in the mornings. I'm too wasted after these workouts and if I add the ab ripper it takes too long. In the interest of work life balance I think morning ab ripper is much better. Besides, what a good way to start the day and kick start my metabolism, eh?

Weezy, you're the bizzle. I can't express my gratitude enough. This is exactly the right time for this to come into my life. I love you!

Good job! I got worried about you this morning when I saw no blog. So here's the deal because i need you both to keep me disciplined. We blog each day no matter what happens. I felt bad about Kenpo today & embarassed to "report" it, but stopping in the middle of it was the right thing to do as long as I substituted the Stretch X - which was exactly where my body was today. Keep it up...we will look amazing come Spring break.
